celebrating the fourth in northern new york~

the twelve hour drive to ny ended up taking us the better part of two days but it was well worth it in the end. once we arrived the kids were in all their glory! kate and ella reconnected and were attached at the hip and trey and molly got to know one another a bit better. even uncle john; a.k.a. uncle silly, and aunt allyson were both back from california.
john's sailboat became the kids pirate ship and many great adventures were had. this is how we ended our first night in NY. as the sun set over the lake the kids set on out their fist voyage. it was blissful.
much more to come later...

Oh how much fun can any family have when they get together at the cottage? We certainly made the most of a short time together. Kids had a blast and that is what really counts. Great photos, Sarah, I love the dining pic- best of this bunch but miss Pete's uncle Sam hat......
