Pete and I have been talking about adding a second pooch to the family ever since last year. We decided we didn't want a puppy and we definitely wanted to rescue. After a couple months of checking the NC Lab Rescue website regularly and considering available dogs we found one we are hoping to adopt. Last Saturday we filled out the online adoption questionnaire with Kate and we are anxiously awaiting word. Mom, Carolyn, Heather we listed you all as character references so be on alert! He enjoys being outside -- wading in the kiddie pool is a favorite on hot days. He enjoys playing tug, fetch and keep-away with his canine foster siblings, so he would probably be a happy addition to a family whose dog needs a buddy. He is easygoing and would probably do well in any environment-- though he might take very well to the life of a sofa-hound

Lexi has been with us now for just over a month and she is still anxious.
How does Digger really feel about this plan????
he does sound great so we shall see. we have considered digger in all of this and really think he will love the companionship. he is such a lover and loves when other dogs are around so i am hopeful that it will work out well for all parties involved.
i need to hook you up with my girlfriend carolyn, the dog whisper. she adopted another dog this year that hid in her back yard and would not come in the house for over 3 months. we were there this past weekend and the dog was happy as a clam. i will remain hopeful for lexi as well.
