& before we knew it...

here we go, walking into the closing ceremony

PIT STOP 3; what a team!

celebrating the circle of survivors
found some unsuspecting cuties to pass off our margartaville attire to
what they didn't know is i had just thrown mine in the trash - shhh!

it was DAY 3!
who would have thought that two nights spent sleeping in a tent, working from sun up until sun down, enduring extremely cold mornings, showering in a semi truck, eating string cheese and uncrustables, relieving ones self in a port-O-john, filling water bottles, fetching ice bags, dancing in front of thousands while tunes blaring from a miniature boom-box and dressing from head to toe in pink could all lead up to one of the most life altering weekends of all time.
think life altering is a bit of a stretch? well, i kid you not! i feel becoming a part of something so big and so incredibly important helps me to realize how little and insignificant my troubles and worries are. the 3day exemplifies how much power can come from us gathering together to for the greater good and reminds us all that we are not alone and that it is OK to lean on others. the 3day makes me want to live each day a little fuller, love a bit more and care more deeply.
i can hardly wait for 2009. Philadelphia here we come!
