she jumped off the bus this afternoon and introduced us to Ashlee, her newborn baby girl... i didn't think we'd be doing the baby thing until middle school but so be it. so here we are with a little jack pumpkin in lui of an egg or worse yet a burping, wetting doll, for better or for worse. kate's homework assignment for this evening was to construct a bed for ashlee so we dug threw recycling until we found an old vanilla waffer box. PERFECT she shreiked! we added a few stickers and a couple tissues and viola... a bed for baby ashlee.

Ok, I have to say, as someone who was forced to carry around an egg for a week in HIGH SCHOOL its a little disturbing that this is happening in 1st grade. Really?? This is supposed to be a fun thing right? its not so supposed to be educational in that sort of way...right??
