new shoes meant you ran FASTER...

our kiddos have been flying around ever since acquiring their new sneaks for school.

considering I've got 60 miles to cover next month

- oh how i wish new sneaks could make me faster!

a day late & a dollor short...

seems to be the story of my life as of late.
or as dear sweet heather would say, tis' the season of my life.
i guess that sounds a bit better. less harsh. more accepting.

anyway - a lot has been happening since our last post.
big stuff - EXCITING stuff - fun stuff - sad stuff - lots of stuff...

trey has developed a deep attachment to the fuzzy guy above. mika tucked him into a care package she sent down to us a couple of months ago. who would have thought.

joanne recently sent down two items that belonged to peter as a child. both of which were made by the wonderfully talented great grandma roe.

the shirt is bar far the cutest thing i've ever seen and kate is coo-coo for the cap.

it was nearly ninty friday afternoon when i took these.

these two share an incredible bond. i snapped these the first morning we were home following our trip to maine.

by now we had made it back to asheville and were following a little tradition.

a doughnut for breakfast?

wonder if trey will keep it on long enough

it's good being kate roe...

this lucky little lady enjoyed TWO birthday parties this year. one in maine with the nason gang and the other in asheville with the bigleys.

a water balloon toss, ice cream and cake, a trip to the OOB park, dancing to the oldies and her very own serenade.

thanks to all of you, that couldn't be with us this year, for reaching out to kate and letting her know you were thinking of her. you know who you are...THANK YOU!

our kater is going through serious withdrawl. she misses her buddy big time. this afternoon we spent a good twenty minutes looking at vacation pictures reminiscing. will post soon!

she amazes me, truly she does. she is incredibly brave and has such a zest for life. she wants to experience it all - and has very little fear these days.

there were a few little tears but not many and she was quick to wipe them away once she saw herself in the mirror.

i saw you put it in your purse when we were leaving maine he says.

and wouldn't you know it - he was right!

has anyone seen my usb cord? i sat down minutes ago with so much hope...hopes of getting caught up. hopes of posting our vacation pics and party pics. showing the world (or at least the few of you that tune in regularly) my darling daughters newly pierced ears.

so until i find that usb cord or a few minutes to spare, tah-tah!
