we're staying the course ~

12 days in and 19 to go - the roes are holding strong.
in just 2 weeks there has been noticeable savings. we've saved an amazing amount by not dining out and by cutting out all additional babysitting for adult extra-curricular activities. the wine and beer rations are starting to dwindle and i think that may be a bit uncomfortable when they become completely depleted. fortunately we have been blessed with generous dinner guests (thanks meme and gaw & dan and erin) whom have come bearing gifts.
i am just about out of one of my facial products. will probably run out mid week. if this would have been the case last month i am sure i would have run to the department store by now and bought a replacement along with the latest and greatest new product that the make-up girl seduced me with. just have to decide if exfolliant is an essential or a luxury. thoughts?
i did spot something a bit concerning in the garbage. an empty "to-go" container from earth fare as well as an empty bag of gourmet potato chips in the garage garbage can...

I am a total product-whore so I can tell you how horrified I am when I run out of my specific haircare/facial cleansing product. There is much ado until one of us goes to the department store to replace it...the best part are the little samples you get of everything...I just love the little samples....sigh...what have I turned into out here in the land of Cali?

First of all-pete is totally busted. Haha! Gourmet potato chips though...hmmm that could be dad and holly.

And as a non-product whore I can tell you that you will live a full and happy life without your products.
Plus it is only for 14 more days or so...you can do it!

Hey-just a thought for your adult extra curricular activities...we do kid swaps with friends at various times...free child care and everyone wins.

Babysitting swap is awesome. I swap with two other mommies regularly and everyone wins!
